a5c7b9f00b The magical action-adventures of a teenage girl who learns of her destiny as the legendary warrior Sailor Moon and must band together with the other Sailor Soldiers to defend the Earth and Galaxy. Usagi, a normal teenage girl, finds out she's Sailor Moon and gets into all sorts of trouble at the beginning trying to fight for love and justice. She then gets better and with her friends Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus they fight against the evils of The Dark Kingdom, The Hell Tree, and The Black Moon. Sailor Moon is a good show, while really repetitive and formulaic it works. Although many people see Sailor Moon and think it's a kid's show but it isn't it was mangled up and DIC tried to change even adding dumb educational segments called Sailor Says. Now I think of the reasons so many people like this show is because it is really romantic and sometimes throws in some good action. The characters are really nice and funny. Serena the main character of the show is really odd they are a lot of times when she acts like an idiot and is a ditz but then the are other times where she is ready to save the world with determination in her eyes. The animation at times is not very good but they are other when your like whoa. if you see the Sailor moon movies you see how good they can do. Gosh darn it all, DiC!! Do you HAVE to destroy everything you touch?!!! See, this series is very good (though sappy at times, a bit annoying when the episodes are badly animated)... but with bad voice-overs and horrid editing (thanks to those narrow-minded, bigoted people who think homosexual undertones and other religions are "occult" and "perverse") this series bites... no wonder so many people hate Sailormoon. It's too bad, though, because the Japanese version is incredibly better. It's funny, sweet, and intriguing at key points in the series. And yeah, the girls are scantily clad... but hey, it's anime. Everybody's scantily clad in most anime. And it takes nothing away from the series unless you are a) a puritan idiot, or b) a perverted idiot who is too busy trying to look up their skirts that you take no time to appreciate the series. This is a good cartoon. Don't knock it till you've seen it... in Japanese. The Japanese version has more lesbians.
